A subscription upgrade is worth considering when the next plan solves a real constraint or creates a measurable benefit that exceeds its added cost. A larger catalog limit can matter to a growing brand. A discount can matter when eligible product purchases are high enough. Priority support has value only when it improves an operating problem the business actually has.
This guide compares Blanka’s publicly listed plans and shows how to calculate one annual VIP discount threshold. Plan features and account terms can change, so verify the current pricing page and the offer shown in your account before paying.
What Blanka currently lists
Blanka’s public pricing page lists Free, Essentials, Signature, and VIP. The table below reflects the public terms. Annual prices are paid upfront for a year; the per-month figure is an equivalent, not a monthly payment.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Published product limit and distinctions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Up to 3 published products; branded samples |
| Essentials | $39/month | $312 upfront ($26/month equivalent) | Up to 25 published products; bulk discounts; pricing page also lists inventory storage, fulfillment, and automatic order payments |
| Signature | $79/month | $588 upfront ($49/month equivalent) | Unlimited published products; bulk discounts |
| VIP | $149/month | $888 upfront ($74/month equivalent) | Unlimited products; priority processing and support, monthly 1:1 coaching, branded inserts, API access, and an additional 10% product discount for annual VIP |
Blanka’s September 16, 2026 membership FAQ says existing Essentials subscribers who joined before that date keep unlimited publishing; the 25-product limit applies to new Essentials subscriptions. Check the account’s subscription date and terms before using this table to plan an upgrade. (Blanka membership plan FAQ) The source pages are not fully consistent about Signature support. The public pricing table says chat and email, while Blanka’s membership FAQ says phone, chat, and email. The pricing table lists inventory storage, fulfillment, and automatic order payments for Essentials and Signature; the FAQ’s feature summary does not describe those items in the same way. Treat these points as questions to resolve with Blanka and in the account checkout before upgrading. (Blanka pricing; Blanka membership plan FAQ)
Free to Essentials: pay for a capability you need
Free allows up to three published products. Essentials raises the listed limit to 25 and adds paid-plan features shown on Blanka’s pricing page, including inventory storage, fulfillment, and automatic order payments. Before moving up, identify which of those capabilities the business needs and what it would otherwise spend to handle the work.
Do not compare an app subscription with product cost alone. Product purchases, shipping, payment processing, advertising, and any inventory commitment may be separate from the plan fee. Wholesale purchasing is also a different buying route from paying for a Blanka subscription. Confirm what each amount covers in the current account offer.
If the catalog fits within the Free limit and the business does not need paid features, the public pricing page by itself does not show a reason to upgrade. If the limit or a specific operation is blocking a sale or creating measurable work, calculate the cost of that constraint before choosing Essentials.
Essentials to Signature: is unlimited publishing useful now?
At monthly list prices, Signature costs $40 more each month than Essentials. Over twelve monthly payments, that is $480. With annual billing, the difference is $276 upfront: $588 for Signature minus $312 for Essentials. The annual equivalents differ by $23 per month, but the cash commitment is due for the year.
The clearest published distinction is catalog capacity: Essentials is listed at 25 products and Signature as unlimited. Count the products the business plans to publish and maintain. Do not assume each size, shade, or other variant counts separately; Blanka defines a published product as a product added and published to the online store, but account-specific catalog behavior should be confirmed before the limit affects the decision.
If the catalog will stay below the Essentials limit, unlimited publishing may have little immediate value. If the business needs more than 25 products, compare the added plan cost with the commercial purpose of those products and the work required to maintain them. A larger limit alone does not prove demand.

Signature to VIP monthly: value the service benefits
VIP costs $70 more per month than Signature at the listed monthly prices. The current pricing page associates VIP with priority order processing, priority chat, email and phone support, monthly coaching, branded inserts, and API access. Ask which features apply to the specific account, product, integration, and destination.
Evaluate each benefit against an actual operating need. For example, record how often delayed processing creates a customer-service issue and what remedy is available under the current fulfillment terms. Estimate staff time spent resolving support issues. Confirm that the existing commerce stack needs the API and that the proposed integration is supported. Include any design, print, or shipping costs for branded inserts that are not covered by the subscription.
Keep benefits qualitative when you cannot measure them. Do not assign a dollar value to coaching, priority access, or faster processing without a clear method and evidence from the business.

Signature Annual to VIP Annual: calculate the discount threshold
The public annual prices are $588 for Signature and $888 for VIP, both paid upfront. That makes the annual fee difference $300. Blanka lists an additional 10% product discount for annual VIP. If that discount applies to the purchases being modeled, a simple break-even calculation is:

Additional annual fee ÷ discount rate = eligible annual product spend needed to offset the fee difference
$300 ÷ 10% = $3,000
At $3,000 in eligible product purchases, the nominal 10% discount equals the $300 difference in annual subscription fees. That is an annual spend threshold, not a unit target or a guarantee of savings. At $1,000 in eligible purchases, the nominal discount would be $100, leaving $200 of the fee difference uncovered. Above $3,000, the discount could exceed the fee difference if all assumptions hold.
Check whether the 10% applies to the exact products and order route, and how it interacts with bulk discounts, promotions, shipping, tax, refunds, or account-specific terms. The threshold also ignores the cost of paying $888 upfront and the possibility that the business would buy less product without the discount. Use actual product prices and the checkout display to model the decision.
Compare the same billing cadence, then decide about cash flow
First compare two plans on monthly billing or compare both annual plans. Then consider whether annual prepayment fits the business’s cash flow, seasonality, cancellation terms, and expected product orders. A temporary promotion or trial changes the first invoice; it does not establish the ongoing economics of the plan.
Before upgrading, write down the constraint the plan solves, the incremental fee, the feature or eligible spend needed to justify that fee, and the evidence you will review later. If the business cannot name a current constraint or credible value source, waiting is a reasonable choice.
Choose the plan by the decision it changes
Free to Essentials is mainly a decision about paid operating capabilities and the three-product limit. Essentials to Signature is mainly about publishing beyond 25 products. Signature to VIP monthly is about whether the service benefits address concrete workflow needs. Signature Annual to VIP Annual adds a $3,000 eligible-spend threshold under the current listed annual fees and 10% discount, subject to the account’s actual terms.
The best plan is the one whose published features and verified account terms solve a real need at a cost the business can support. Recheck the prices, support details, and discount conditions before each renewal or upgrade.
